Community Liaison Worker- The Furniture Program

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor all file documentation as per program/agency policy
  • Maintain accurate and timely data collection, data entry and completion of any program assessments and surveys as per agency and program policy
  • Provide information to all inquiries on the Furniture program
  • Assess client’s household needs to ensure basic needs are met
  • Conduct risk assessment and develop safety plan for move
  • Coordinate delivery times and dates so that client, FIND and Community Liaison Worker are all present
  • Deliver services using a client centered, strength based approach per agency and program policy

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Social Work or other related field with minimum of 1 year experience specific to family violence
  • Professionalism within all aspects of employment and able to contribute to a positive team environment
  • Understanding of family violence dynamics and barriers
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Assessment, problem solving , communication and engagement skills
  • Knowledge of and experience accessing community resources
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partnering organization
  • Ability to provide culturally relevant services
  • General computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Outlook)
  • Criminal Record Check, Enhanced Reliability and Child Intervention Record Check
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, $2million liability insurance, Drivers Abstract

Hourly Wage: $20.00 per hour working 13 hours per week

Days of work: Mondays and Tuesdays unless a statutory holiday falls on a Monday when the days of work will be modified to Tuesday and Wednesday.
