The successful candidate will be required to submit a current (date within the last 6 month) Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) and Child & Youth Intervention Check.

Job Purpose:
Provide childcare for 1-8 children aged 1-15 one to two evenings a week for 3 hours
Facilitate engaging and enjoyable activities each week
Provide a consistent and therapeutic milieu for children of varying ages each week
Completed minimum first year of Child & Youth Care or Social Work Diploma
Current First Aid
Skills, Abilities and Attitudes:
Passion for working with children, youth and families
Understanding of current and emerging issues of importance to Indigenous people and communities
Good understanding of health issues affecting children and youth such as FASD, intergenerational trauma, mental health, & suicide
Able to work well in a team environment with the ability to handle stressful situations in a non-confrontational, problem solving manner is required.

Experience working with children of all ages with multiple and complex needs is an asset.

Salary: $18.98/hr
