ABC Head Start is accepting applications for Child Care Workers who report to the Site Supervisor.

The hours of work vary and could include the daytime hours or evenings and the number of shifts per month at each location varies from 3-5 shifts.

Responsibility:

  • Provide child care support while families participate in regularly scheduled parenting groups.

Qualifications:

  • Child Care Assistant (Level 1) is preferred
  • Six-twelve months’ experience working with children from 0 to 5 years of age
  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience providing an enriched experiential environment for young children
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment
  • Police and Intervention Check is required

Compensation: $14.88 to $16.09 per hour plus 6% vacation paid on each cheque

Work Location: North Campus at Delwood School, Millwoods Campus at  Millbourne Market Mall, Killarney School, and McKee School
